Key stage 2 trip!!!

On the 26th of June 2013 key stage 2 went on trip to Southwell work house. We were split into boys and girls. We got changed into victorian clothes, then we went into the actual work house. Next we went into the school room, we learnt how to write numbers and letters in victorian ways. In the after noon we went to the learn about what victorian children would of played with. The toys in victorian times are not like the ones we play with today. The last part of our day was when we went in to a room and split up into different groups and we had to find out a mystery item and then we did a presentation  about our mystery items. It took us along time to work out our mystery item but in the end it was butter patters.Abigail White's groups item was a bit strange because it just looked like wooden mushroom. When we got changed in to the victorian clothes we felt very very strange because they weren't all colourful like our clothes today. In the work house it was quite cold so the girls wore shawls. The mystery item section was very mysterious and very interesting. We all enjoyed our day at Southwell workhouse and hoped to go back soon.
