Fish pie
We have been making fish pie with Mrs Knapton for the last 3 weeks . We put 1 kg potatoes , 2 eggs, 450 g sustainable fish, 4 spring onions ,1 teaspoon chopped parsley, zest of 1 lemon, 200ml semi skimmed milk ,200ml creme fraiche, 1 teaspoon English mustard, 150g cheddar cheese and 15g butter or margarine in the fish pie . First we peeled the potatoes and cooked them till they were soft . Then we boiled the eggs for 8 minutes then we sliced them. Next we placed the fish,spring onion ,parsley and lemon zest in a bowl. Then we beat 200ml milk,creme fraiche and mustard in a jug. Next we drained the potatoes and milk and butter.Then placed the fish mixture in a ovenproof dish. We then placed the mash potatoes on top of the fish and sprinkled with the remaining cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 200 c until the potato is golden brown. The fish pie was better than I thought because I don't really like fish.
